Brewing Conversations Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us", "our") operates the Konvoo platform ("Platform") accessible at konvoo.live. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide directly:

• Phone number (for account registration and OTP verification)
• Display name (optional)
• Language preference
• Content filter preference (Safe/Adult)

b) Information generated through use:

• Conversation messages with AI characters
• Character memories (summaries and key facts extracted from conversations)
• Usage data (message counts, image generation counts)
• Subscription and payment information (processed by Razorpay)

c) Automatically collected information:

• Device type and browser information
• IP address
• Access timestamps

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Konvoo platform
• Authenticate your identity via OTP
• Personalize AI character responses using conversation memories
• Process subscription payments through Razorpay
• Enforce usage limits based on your subscription plan
• Moderate content to ensure compliance with our guidelines
• Respond to support requests and bug reports
• Send important service updates (not marketing)

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers powered by Supabase (PostgreSQL). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens
• Server-side input validation and content moderation
• Secure payment processing via Razorpay (PCI DSS compliant)

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

• OpenAI: Conversation messages are sent to OpenAI's API to generate AI character responses. Messages are processed per OpenAI's API data usage policy and are not used to train their models.
• Razorpay: Payment information for subscription processing. Razorpay handles all financial data under their own privacy policy.
• Supabase: Database hosting provider where your data is stored securely.
• Law enforcement: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.

5. Conversation Privacy

Your conversations with AI characters are private. We do not:

• Read your conversations manually (except when investigating reported content)
• Use your conversations to train AI models
• Share conversation content with third parties for advertising
• Display your conversations to other users

AI-generated character memories (summaries and key facts) are stored to improve your experience and can be viewed and deleted by you at any time through the Memory feature.

6. Content Moderation

We use automated moderation to detect content that violates our guidelines, including content involving minors, violence, self-harm, and hate speech. Flagged conversations may be reviewed by our team to enforce our Terms of Use.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View your personal data through the Profile section
• Correct: Update your name, language, and preferences at any time
• Delete: Delete individual conversation memories, reset conversations, or permanently delete your entire account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent: Stop using the Platform at any time
• Data portability: Request a copy of your data by contacting us

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data including conversations, memories, and usage records are permanently deleted from our servers. Payment records may be retained as required by applicable financial regulations.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

Konvoo uses browser local storage to maintain your login session and user preferences (such as content filter settings and sound preferences). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

Konvoo is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and all associated data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
